Do you want to work creatively and develop a business where the senses are at the center?
We are now looking for a support teacher who wants to help create meaningful experiences for our participants.
Your assignment
As a support teacher, you are responsible for planning, developing, and implementing individually adapted activities with a focus on sensory experiences. Through, for example, music, creative activities, tactile experiences, and sensory-stimulating environments, you contribute to strengthening the participants' well-being, participation, and development. You design and adapt activities based on each individual's needs, prerequisites, and goals. The work also includes documentation, follow-up, and evaluation of the participants' development, as well as ensuring that the interventions maintain good quality and are based on a pedagogical approach.
The role also includes mentoring and supporting colleagues in pedagogical approaches and contributing to the development of the business by spreading knowledge and good practices.
As part of the daily work, routine care tasks and some service tasks, such as cleaning, are also included to create a safe, pleasant, and well-functioning business together with the work group.
Description of the workplace
We are a day activity center that offers support to people with disabilities. Our focus is on creating a safe and inspiring environment where every individual is given the opportunity to develop.
We particularly focus on sensory-stimulating activities – experiences that activate the body and awaken curiosity, calm, and joy.
Your competence
We are looking for you who have a support teacher education, education in nursing or pedagogy, or other equivalent education that the employer considers relevant for the position. We would like you to have training in PFA (Pedagogical attitude and working method), education and knowledge in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication). If you also have experience of working within LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or day activity centers, as well as sensory-stimulating work and knowledge in low-affective handling, this is seen as meritorious.
As a person, you are creative, engaged, and development-oriented. You work independently, take your own initiatives, and dare to make decisions within the framework of your assignment. You see opportunities, take responsibility for your work, and have a holistic perspective where the best interests of the business are always in focus. Furthermore, you are structured and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You work with a goal orientation, keep time frames, and focus on creating good results. To succeed in the role, you need to have good cooperation skills and create trusting relationships through a listening, respectful, and professional handling. You value good cooperation with users, relatives, and colleagues. You have good pedagogical skills and can adapt your working method based on individuals' different needs and prerequisites. Through a coaching and motivating attitude, you contribute to participation, engagement, and development, and can clarify goals, expectations, and assignments. We also see that you have good analytical skills. You can see connections, identify areas for development, and find solutions to complex issues in a structured and quality-conscious manner.
A driver's license for a car is a requirement for the position, as well as good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
Great importance will be attached to personal qualities.
We handle applications on an ongoing basis, so don't wait to send them in. Welcome with your application!
